IALA holds bi-monthly meetings and social mixers in Orange County. Students and attorney members and guests attended the Orange County mixer on May 2, 2008. This mixer was hosted by IALA board member Michael Ahmadshahi at his residence in Laguna Niguel. Mr. Ahmadshahi is an Intellectual Property practitioner in Orange County. The guests were briefed about IALA's activities and events as well as the new features of the website allowing members to update their records including their practice areas as well as the search features open to the public to locate practitioners. A number of Los Angeles IALA members and board members including Vice- President Vishta Farahani also attended in support of the Orange County Chapter.
