Our Speaker was Ms. Eleanor S. Bigolsky, Deputy District Attorney Auto Insurance Fraud Division for the County of Los Angeles. Ms. Bigolsky is a graduate of the Loyola Law School. She has been with the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office since 1981 and has handled a variety of assignments such as Central Trials, Branch and Area, major Narcotics and Forfeiture, and Auto Insurance Fraud. Further, Ms. Bigolsky is a California District Attorney's Association lecturer on topics such as Restitution, Asset Forfeiture, Search Warrants of privilege Holders and 1524 hearings.
Ms. Bigolsky has also trained members of Law Enforcement in Preparation of Special Master Search Warrants and laws pertaining to Insurance Fraud. She has also spoken at the Cleveland Chiropractic College on issues of insurance fraud, including how to avoid the pitfalls of insurance fraud.
Subjects covered were:
- Legislative funding scheme.
- Laws utilized in the prosecution of Automobile Insurance Fraud Legislation and Case Law.
- Cooperative efforts between the DA's Office, the State Bar, Franchise Tax Board, Chiropractic Board and other DA Fraud Units
- Avoiding the pitfalls of insurance Fraud for the lawyer and chiropractor.
